It’s the time of the year when you want a slice of Christmas cheer. We all crave something nice and warm, festive food and drinks, and a vibe that we can own.

Well, you’d be relieved to know that one of Dublin’s much loved winter wonderland events, Winteryard, is back at The Bernard Shaw and Eatyard. It takes place every Thursday to Sunday for the festive season right up to the end of January.

Expect a haven of heated and covered outdoor hygge with a ski chalet vibe while you enjoy festive food from a variety of vendors, a Carlsberg winter warmer garden and Baileys treat bar with heated booths, along with cheesy Christmas entertainment, classic Christmas flicks, Sunday craft markets, and general Christmas cheer.

In terms of food you’ll be able to choose festive specials from Eatyard’s fan favourite vendors, including Janet’s who recently won RTE’s Takeaway Titan’s show with her amazing dumplings & rice bowls, Village Pizza run by Neill who does some of the best wood fired, sourdough pizza you’ll find in the area, Nice Burger who will be slinging out their mouth-watering burgers and fries and word on the street is that they’re working on what they say will be Dublin’s best Christmas Sambo.

New to Winteryard will be Bunga Bunga Pasta who will be cooking pasta in a theatrical cheese wheel serving dishes like Caco E Pepe & Carbonara. Also popping up will be FUGU serving some very good Japanese fusion.

And what’s a Christmas party without some cheesy entertainment? Expect Santa Baby Karaoke, Music Bingo, Dress The Christmas Tree and more every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

In The Basement they’ll be showing some Christmas classic flicks on the big screen including ‘Home Alone’, ‘Dr Seuss’ and ‘Love Actually’. These events are ticketed, but the ticket gets you a drink on arrival.

Every Sunday in December you can also peruse along the classic Eatyard craft markets with a range of local craft vendors, perfect for those Christmas presents.

Admission to Winteryard is free, but tickets guarantee entry and a drink on arrival.

Also, here’s a tip when you head there. Just mention what you’re looking to do when booking in for Winteryard. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, just rock up and buy the “Walk Up” tickets which guarantee you entry + a drink on arrival.

Winteryard kicks off November 24th to January 29th, opening Thursday – Sunday from 12 pm.
