Formerly the once popular Copan emerges its upgraded counterpart Kodiak!
Sister spot to Bonobo in Smithfield, Kodiak opened its doors to the public around 2 weeks ago.
At 304 Rathmines Road Lower, Kodiak classes itself as a ‘neighbourhood bar’, but it is a lot more than that. Kodiak offers a really relaxed environment while also sustaining a modern feel. The wooden benches parked throughout the bar/restaurant hybrid offer a very cool vibe.

Heading out to the outside area, the feel is still consistent. With plenty of seating tables, I can imagine this area on a Friday or Saturday night would be absolutely buzzing.

Kodiak offers an array of different drink options, all the fan favourites like Guinness, Brew Dog and Rascals, but if you are looking for some alternative beverages, you have a large collection of craft beer cans that are placed in a fridge beside the main bar. If beer isn’t your thing, Kodiak has loads of spirits that are on view behind the bar and do have a very sophisticated cocktail menu.
Kodiak specialises in pizzas. On our visit, we opted to go with a white base pizza topped with truffle and orange zest. If you are into the classics, Kodiak also offers the likes of margarita pizza, pepperoni pizza and sausage pizza.
