NIHF Begins to Search for 2021’s ‘Hotel and Hospitality Heroes’

The Northern Ireland Hotels Federation (NIHF) has revealed further details of its Hospitality Exchange 2021 program.

It is calling on businesses to celebrate their heroes and nominate staff to receive a Hotel and Hospitality Hero Award.

The NIHF is asking employers to nominate members of staff who have made an exceptional contributions to the industry. The program aims to recognize those going above and beyond the call of duty, for a Hotel and Hospitality Hero Award.

Selected ‘heroes’ will be invited, along with their nominators, to attend an awards lunch at the Crowne Plaza, Belfast on 12 October. Entries are free.

Economy Minister Gordon Lyons will join the NIHF in this year’s search for Hotel and Hospitality Heroes. He said: “The last few years have been tough for all within the wider tourism sector. We want to help to reward and recognize those who have worked so hard and contributed so much.”

Stephen Meldrum, President of the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation said: “The role that employees play is integral to the success of the business and the sector as a whole. The Federation recognizes this and that is why staff will be the star of the show at Hospitality Exchange 2021.”
