The portfolio prides itself in uniting a diverse, hand-picked selection of independently spirited hotels in the best locations, which boast the most beautiful designs and personalised service for luxury travellers.

“We are delighted to be joining such a renowned portfolio of hotels and resorts. SLH represents the values and dedication to hospitality which identifies our flagship property, the Culloden Estate & Spa,” said Howard Hastings, managing director of Hastings Hotels. “We are honoured to be the portfolio’s only hotel in Northern Ireland and look forward to introducing the destination to its members and working closely with the collection.”

The Culloden Estate & Spa is situated only five miles from Belfast City Centre and overlooks Belfast Lough. Featuring 98 bedrooms and suites, the hotel was once the official palace for the Bishops of Down and stands on 12 acres of secluded gardens and woodland.
Vespers Restaurant at the Culloden is one of the finest in Northern Ireland, offering local quality and seasonal produce while The Cultra Inn, situated at the hotel grounds’ entrance, offers more relaxed laid back dining indoors and out.

Last year, The Spa at Culloden completed a significant renovation with new heat experiences. It has also launched a new private medi-spa for guests and members where wellness and relaxation combine.

The hotel will be reopening its doors on May 24, with the Cultra Inn reopening for outdoor dining on April 30. Guests can look forward to the return of one of the largest art and sculpture exhibitions on June 26, which will showcase the very best of Irish and international sculpture as well as art from Dali, Picasso, Warhol and Banksy to name a few. It will also be offering a new Bridgerton-themed afternoon tea plus an outdoor ‘Bollinger Bus’ serving Bollinger champagne and treats which will remain outside the Cultra Inn on the estate for most of the summer. “We’re proud to have signed Belfast’s most impressive hotel. The Culloden Estate & Spa is a fine example of what an SLH stands for – independently minded owners, excellent service, great facilities and oozing plenty of charm,” said Daniel Luddington, Senior Vice President of Development, Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
