Coldplay have announced a long overdue return to Ireland – with 2 shows confirmed for Dublin’s Croke Park next year.

The band, which last played here (at Croke Park) in 2017, will light up Croker on August 29 and 30, 2024. It forms part of a 3-month, 16 date European tour which also takes in Munich, Dusseldorf, Helsinki, Vienna, Lyon, Rome, Bucharest, Budapest and Athens.

The band’s European touring schedule on its current Music of the Spheres world tour has honed in on multiple nights in big cities. While this is the first Irish visit in 7 years, it will be the first time in Rome since 2003 and the first time ever in Greece, Romania and Finland.

The closest the band has come to Irish shores on this tour, was its UK runs this summer and last summer – which took in mega shows in London, Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff.
