The award winning ‘Wild Lights’ has returned, with a spectacular brand-new theme: ‘The Enchanted Zoo’. Wild Lights opens to the public from Thursday 16th November.

Visitors will discover the secret life of Dublin Zoo at night and enter a world of magic and wonder with fairies, mythical creatures, vibrantly coloured animals, a gnome village and even a dreamlike candy land, all lit up as beautiful silk lanterns.

On arrival, visitors will be greeted by the enchanted Wizard and invited to choose their own adventure from a choice of three pathways to explore first. Each pathway offers a magical gateway to showcase the secret life of Dublin Zoo at night.

Throughout the route visitors will also encounter the nocturnal gnome keepers, guardians of the magical and mysterious life and animals visible in the Zoo only at night and will get to explore their magical gnome village!

Wild Lights is the perfect evening for friends and families to come together and enjoy the festive season with a bold and bright experience that will create long-lasting memories.

Dr Christoph Schwitzer, Director of Dublin Zoo, said: “We are incredibly excited here at Dublin Zoo to announce our most spectacular Wild Lights experience yet. Visitors will get a unique insight into the magical happenings that take place when the sun goes down and our nocturnal creatures come to life. We’re really looking forward to seeing the look of wonder on children’s faces as they turn every corner, and we think adults will be equally awestruck too!”
