Discover Kerry has launched a brand new app that invites users to meet Rí the Kerry Puffin and place him in your favourite location in County Kerry.
Rí is a puffin from Puffin Island off the coast of Kerry and along the Wild Atlantic Way. The adventurous puffin is designed to unlock the magic of Kerry as you explore the Kingdom this summer.
The name Rí is an ancient Gaelic word meaning ‘king’ to represent the Kingdom of Kerry.
The interactive app allows users to place Rí in locations across the county or at their current location. Users can then share their Rí images with others on social media or via email using the ‘share with a friend’ function. Get involved and share your pictures of Rí unlocking the magic of Kerry on social media using the hashtag #KerryPuffin.
To celebrate the introduction of Rí the Kerry Puffin, Discover Kerry is running a competition on their social media to win a 2-night stay at The Rose Hotel in Tralee with B&B and dinner for two, as well as 2 passes to Dingle Oceanworld.
