Do you know that on YouTube, Tourism Ireland’s behind-the-scenes mini film has mustered up nearly 6 million views? It has gone viral!
It’s a promotional video for Martin McDonagh’s Banshees of Inisherin with its behind-the-scenes look at the critically-acclaimed movie. Starring Brendan Gleeson, Colin Farrell, Barry Keoghan, Kerry Condon, Pat Shortt and John Kenny, the film has received tremendous support to be nominated for a number of Oscars.
West of Ireland looks spectacular in the footage, and it seems that viewers from across the world are lapping it up. It turns out to be a perfect way to showcase the unique beauty of West of Ireland.
The Banshees of Inisherin was filmed on location in Inis Mor and Achill Island. The film shows the beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way and the West coast of Ireland in particular.
So where can you watch the movie? It arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday, 21 December.
