The Best Outdoor Dining in Dublin: The Intercontinental Dublin

On a sunny day there is no nicer place to eat out than in the newly decorated veranda of the Intercontinental Hotel in Ballsbridge. Following some design work the veranda now has been decorated with floral murals and has heating.

Luckily for the Intercontinental Hotel, they are one of the few city hotels that do have a commodious outdoor space. The Intercontinental also has a spacious Garden Terrace off the bar surrounded by trees and shrubs and is ideal for dining, or cocktails al fresco.

New Summer Menu

A new menu is available for the Garden Terrace created by Executive Head Chef Alberto Rossi and his team.  The menu includes a selection of specially curated Small Plates including Dublin Bay Prawn Cocktail; Parmesan Churros with Pesto Dip; Irish Beef Sliders with Brie Cheese, and Truffle Mayo.

Biggers bites include the Cheese and Meat Platter, a selection of Irish Cheeses, Cured Continental Meats, Olives, Pickles, Grapes, Apple, Quince Jelly, Crackers.  The Seafood Platter with Crab Salad, Dublin Bay Prawn Cocktail, Oysters, Crab Claws, Lobster, Smoked Salmon, Migonette, and Tabasco

The menu includes the ever popular summer dish Chicken Caesar Salad.  From the Grill you can order a 6oz Irish beef burger with all the trimmings; Grilled 10oz Dry Aged Striploin with Potato Fondant, Asparagus, Caramelised Shallots, Red Wine Jus or Cod Ligurian Style, pan-fried and served in a Tomato Sauce, Capers, Taggiasca Olives, Oregano. 

 A selection of sweet treats includes Pistachio and Raspberry Tart with Pistachio Ice Cream; Baklava Cheesecake with Honey Ice Cream and Strawberry Pavlova with Strawberry Sorbet.

Enjoy a glass of Perrier Jouet Champagne or a chilled Chablis, a cool beer or one of the hotel’s signature cocktails while enjoying the best of five star service al fresco.

 A Summer Treat – Stay Overnight 

Why not have a overnight treat with a mid-week special price of €395 per room for two. It includes three-course dining, breakfast in Seasons, complimentary upgrade to a Junior Suite, if available. Enjoy a a lazy start to the following day with a late checkout to 2pm. And, guests can use the hotel’s Wellness Area with 14m lap pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.
