Derry Girls stars Saoirse Monica Jackson and Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, who play Erin Quinn and Michelle Mallon respectively in the adorable hit series are among the actors involved in a new campaign encouraging people to visit Ireland.
Sharon Horgan from the other hugely successful Irish hit Bad Sisters is also involved in the €78 million initiative by Tourism Ireland.
The Global Campaign named ”Fill your Heart with Ireland” was unveiled yesterday and is due to go live on St Patricks Day in Britain, the United States, Germany and France before being rolled out to nine other areas around the world.
The campaign is expected to be warm and funny with Tourism Ireland describing it as “about dialling up what differentiates the island of Ireland from other destinations – communicated through various celebrities, who share what fills their hearts with Ireland”.
