Let There Be Croke!…AC/DC Confirms Massive Dublin Show for August

AC/DC has officially announced it will play Croke Park, in Dublin, in August.

The legendary Anglo-Aussie rockers will play GAA Headquarters on Saturday, August 17 – with tickets priced at €86.25 and going on sale on Friday (February 16). It adds to an already busy schedule at Croker, this summer, with Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay already confirmed.

It will be the first time AC/DC has played Ireland since its Aviva Stadium gig on its Rock or Bust tour in 2015. This tour is in promotion for the band’s 2020 album Power Up, the touring schedule having been mothballed by the pandemic.

The news drew a few relieved gasps in T2I headquarters as we’d been steadily teasing the news over the past few months.

The band – which is expected to tour South America in the autumn – has announced a mammoth 21-date European Tour running from mid-May to mid-August and taking in Germany, Spain, Italy, the UK, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, France…and Ireland.

The fact that the band is only playing two UK shows (a 2-night stand at London’s Wembley Stadium) means there will be added pressure to get tickets for the Croker show. Find tickets here.
