The five-star g Hotel’s infamous g Races Afternoon Tea Event in partnership with Champagne Taittinger is back bigger and better than before for this year’s Galway Races.
Taking place during the full week of the Galway Races from Monday the 25th of July to Sunday 31st of July, the g Races Afternoon Tea is one of the most glamourous events in the city and each day, stylish ladies are invited to book and enter in the daily Best Hat Competition.

The Hotel will choose a Best Hat winner each day of the Galway Races with stylish prizes including vouchers from ESPA; Les Jumelles; Harper Boutique; Taittinger and Hartmann Jewellers.
On Galway Races Ladies Day, the 28th of July, Aoibhin Garrihy will be the guest judge for the ‘Best Hat Competition’ at the g Hotel. The stylish broadcaster and entrepreneur will host the Ladies Day g Races Afternoon Tea and choose the lucky winner on the day. Aoibhin is no amateur when it comes to style, having previously judged the 2017 Galway Races Ladies Day. The prize on Ladies Day for the ‘Best Hat’ at the g Hotel is ‘The Ultimate Makeover’ which includes a €1000 Brown Thomas Voucher, 3-hour VIP styling session with Galway stylist Orla Sheridan, Beauty or Fragrance Consultation with Brown Thomas and a Make up session with Charlotte Tilbury, hair makeover with Peter Mark and a magnum of Champagne Taittinger (total prize value of €2500).
