Dozens of Irish companies in the travel and tourism business have been nominated for the World Travel Awards due to be held in September, 2021.
Among the nominees is EPIC, the Irish Museum of Emigration, which is going for a triple having won the attractions award in 2019 and 2020. EPIC will be competing against other Irish attractions nominees such as Jameson Distillery, Teeling Distillery, Spike Island, Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre, and the Convention Centre Dublin.
The categories also include, Destination Management Companies, Travel Agencies both online and retail, and Tour Operators. Many Irish hotels feature in the categories that include, leading hotel, business hotel, suite in a hotel, and boutique hotel.
Hotels nominated include The Marker, Adare Manor, Ashford Castle, Hotel Doolin, Inchydoney Island Lodge, the Dylan and Hayfield Manor, among them. In the car hire nominations many of the leading rental companies are represented.
Both Aer Lingus and Ryanair have been nominated in the European Low Cost Airlines award. The City of Derry has also made the nomination in the emerging cities category. Voting will be open until July 14, 2021 and by can vote here
