Eat Locally: The Muddlers Club, Co. Antrim

A Michelin star restaurant tucked away between Waring Street and Exchange Place in the historic back streets of the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast.

The Muddlers Club is named after the secret society that met there over 200 years ago. They focus on modern dining in a relaxed space and use only the best local ingredients.

The Michelin Guide spoke on The Muddlers Club and said “This modern, industrial-style restaurant hidden in the Cathedral Quarter is well worth a visit. Chef Gareth McCaughey’s cooking is straightforward and in a modern vein and the enthusiasm of the young team who run it is palpable.”

The Food

Head chef and owner, Gareth McCaughey, handpicks the best of homegrown produce daily to ensure the quality of each dish served.

The open kitchen provides a sense of theatre and allows the diner to watch as ingredients are transformed into meticulously simple dishes in front of them.

The Drink

With a carefully considered wine and an extensive cocktail list you will find a warm welcome at The Muddlers Club.

Our drinks menu is influenced by local producers and makers. This means a strong focus on local beer, but we also offer a range of local spirits, a curated cocktail list and a considered wine selection.
