Culture Night returns this year on 17 September and there’s plenty happening across the country. Here are some of the events taking place in Munster throughout the evening:


HOME – an Art Exhibition by Betty Cauldwell

This exhibition, hosted by Cultúrlann Sweeney Theatre, memorialises artist Betty Cauldwell, who passed away in April 2020. Her collection of oil, watercolour, acrylic and pastel paintings celebrate County Clare and its captivating landscapes.

Traditional Music, Song and Dance at An Teach Ceoil

Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival

Pitch’d Circus Street Arts Festival returns with the theme ‘Art Refracted’, featuring pop-up performances of Tumble Circus’ “Cycle Circus” and Tom Campbell’s ‘Rubbish Performance’.

Bijou Opera

Three-piece Bijou Opera present ‘Shakespeare in Song’, retelling the stories of Shakespeare through operatic duets and arias. The performance will include musical adaptations of esteemed plays such as Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet and MacBeth.
