Vicar Street is set to host a tribute concert to late great Aslan singer Christy Dignam early next month.
The concert – ‘Christy Dignam: A Celebration’ – will be held on Friday, May 3 and will feature a yet-to-be-announced array of top Irish talent to pay tribute to the singer who died last year.
According to Vicar Street, the celebration is being organised in response to the massive requests from fans and artists for a night to come together to honour Christy’s legacy. The Dignam family is also directly supportive of the event and would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
“Christy loved Vicar Street,” said Christy’s wife, Kathryn Dignam. “It was a place where he felt at home and where he could connect with his fans on a deep level. We are so grateful to everyone who is helping to make this celebration a reality,” she told Dublin.ie.
