Kevin Burke, the former Head Chef of Michelin-starred The Ninth London -and more recently Allta in Dublin- will next month open a brand new restaurant off Dublin’s South Frederick Street.

The restaurant will be named Library St., a nod to the name originally intended for the 18th century street, as it led towards the now world-famous Trinity College Library. The restaurant will serve a menu consisting of seasonal food from all over Ireland.

The sharing menu will encourage an inclusive dining experience so guests can try more than one dish at a time. Wines will be served by the glass and bottle, supporting sustainable producers and smaller growers where possible.

Giving a flavour of the menu at Library St., Burke says: “We will encourage the sharing of classic dishes done simply using great produce sourced from all over our beautiful island. We have ambitious standards: from freshly baked baguettes to crispy chicken wings stuffed with scallop & tarragon mayo, whole baked bass with fennel and mussels to lamb marinated in yoghurt, honey and rosemary.”

The restaurant will open in early this November as part of the hospitality group that also includes its neighbour, Trinity Townhouse hotel, Sheen Falls Lodge in Kerry, and Castlemartyr Resort in Cork.
