This year marks the 71st anniversary of the Wexford Festival Opera and features La Tempesta – 19th Century French composer Fromental Halévy’s take on Shakespeare’s The Tempest – Lalla Roukh and Armida as its main stage operas.
The festival also includes a range of pop-up events, lectures, a gala concert, and lunchtime recitals. It also features two pocket operas, one being The Master, based on the book by Colm Tóibín.
