Nothing Compares – Belfast-born filmmaker Kathryn Ferguson’s award-winning documentary on the life of the late, great Sinéad O’Connor – will be aired on the Sky Documentaries channel tomorrow night (Saturday, July 29, 9 pm).
Calling it “a love letter to Sinéad”, Ms. Ferguson said: “Nothing Compares isn’t a regular music documentary, instead it’s a portrait of one unique artist, her cultural significance in Irish history and she has affected the lives of millions around the world.”
The 2-hour film – originally released in cinemas last October – was already scheduled to make its small screen premiere this weekend, even before the singer’s tragic and untimely passing earlier this week. It follows Sinéad on her road to stardom from 1987 up to 1993.
