Taking place between Trim and Athboy, returning this October 28th to 31st with music, fire, feasting and merriment in Ireland’s Ancient East, join the celebration of the Celtic New Year with the spirits of Halloween. When the light turns dark and the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead thins, the creatures of Samhain, Ireland’s ancient Halloween tradition, come to life.

Through the spectacular nights at Púca Festival, you will salute the Halloween spirits through folklore, food, myth and music reopening the pathways of reflection and celebration carved by travellers over 2,000 years ago.

A Halloween Music Festival?

With some of the best names in Irish Music performing live, the Púca Festival is proud to announce its 2022 line-up of some of the best acts in Irish music, with names like Imelda May, Gavin James and The High Kings, there’s something for everyone this year.

Filled with spectacular illuminations, local foods, drinks and crafts, music-making from some of Ireland’s best musicians and the fiery and colourful procession as the spirits of Samhain arrive, Trim will be one of the most exciting locations for 2022. However, if you are into a more historical option, Athboy offers The Hill of Ward (Tlachtga) which was a major ceremonial enclosure and one of the earliest sites to host Samhain, the place from which the light of the new year first emanates. Here the traditions of Samhain continue at the ancient hill.
