The new Wild Atlantic Waterpark has just opened in Kenmare, County Kerry. One of Ireland’s largest inflatable waterparks, the Wild Atlantic Waterpark is the brainchild of outdoor activities specialists Star Outdoors.
This floating island of adventure, spread over 40 acres, caters for all ages from 6 to 90 and includes a catapult, rope swing, climbing wall, trampoline, obstacle course, jungle bars and slipping wave.
Star Outdoors used the enforced pause of lockdown to redesign and extend its purpose-built centre, which specialises in kayaking, paintball, splat ball, archery. It also offers cruise trips of Kenmare Bay.
Managing Director Daniel McCarthy said: “The response has been huge, interest has never been as high; We have set up a new booking system on our website and it is such a relief to see the online bookings flooding in, it’s a fantastic feeling really.”
“People are planning ahead this Summer; they want to get out and about and outdoors is definitely the ‘Star’ of Summer 2021,” he added.
He expressed confidence that the Wild Atlantic Waterpark would be “one of Kerry’s biggest tourist attractions this Summer.”
