The latest edition of Dublin ComicCon (Summer Edition) takes place this weekend (Saturday August 24/Sunday August 25) at The Convention Centre Dublin – featuring plenty of treats for comic, movie, tv show, gaming and cosplay fans.
Another Dublin option, for this weekend, is a rare Irish gig for Eurovision legend Johnny Logan – who plays Vicar Street on Saturday.

The second annual Cork Burlesque Festival, a glamorous weekend packed with performances by some of the world’s best burlesque dancers all held in the intimate Cork Arts Theatre.

The latest in the Silent Cinema Film Studio series of silent classics played out against the backdrop of a live music score, at Galway’s Pálás Cinema. This week, it’s the Buster Keaton classic The General, from 1926.
Waterford

Coinciding with the week when Phil Lynott would have turned 75 years old, Thin Lizzy tribute band Thin Az Lizzy play at The Seantí, kicking off at 9pm.

The Ashford Festival will take place in Ashford Village from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th August. A number of events will be taking place as part of the festival including a cycle race, live music, dog show, vintage show, food, art and craft fair, a family fun-day and much more.
