A bit of a laugh on the day of love
Craic Den Comedy Club @ Mulligan & Haines have a Valentine’s Special. What would you get at the Craic Den? On top of a fantastic comedy line up, they will also be playing a couple of romantic games with the audience (for those who are up for it!) with bottles of wine up for grabs. It will be hosted by Eddie Mullarkey and Damo Clark, and you can find all the details here.
A romantic getaway
Many hotels are offering Valentine Day packages and it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the official websites and social media handles for these offerings. (Some hotels have spa packages and special offers but their websites also explain that more Valentine-centered deals will be updated soon.)
For example, check out the deals under ‘Love and Luxury‘ at the Intercontinental Dublin.
Many other hotels offer year-round promotional offers – while these are perfect for Valentine’s Day, they work equally great for romantic breaks that you want to take any day of the year. For example, check out the ‘Lasting Love’ offer at The Merrion, Dublin. It offers: “For all those ‘Love’ occasions, enjoy overnight accommodation in a double room in the stylish Garden Wing or Main House with full Irish breakfast in The Garden Room the next morning and a bottle of chilled rose champagne and heart shaped chocolates in your room on arrival.”
There’s also the case of selecting a hotel that you really love, and making the most of its famed afternoon teas, lunches, and dinners. It could be a nice romantic gift to your significant other – checking in at a hotel of their choice and making it a day or two of pampering for the both of you. For example, if you head to The Westin and have afternoon tea at the Atrium Lodge, you can twin it up with booking one of their suites. It can make for a very special day indeed. I, for one, particularly like the package where you can, as the website says: “Make your Afternoon Tea experience extra special with our Stay for Tea package. Delight in Afternoon Tea for two in the bright and airy, Atrium Lounge.
This package also includes an overnight stay in a luxurious guest room with breakfast for two in Morelands Grill the following morning.”
Valentine’s Day Deal at The Shelbourne, Dublin
We thought we’d make a special mention of this package as it sounds really tempting. The package advertises the following options:
- Overnight stay in one of their five-star deluxe rooms
- Romantic dinner at The Saddle Room
- Welcome glass of champagne
- Promotional Code: LVU What’s this?
- Valid Stay Dates: February 12, 2023 – February 19, 2023
