The Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny nails how all of us in the tourism and hospitality industry are feeling at the moment – the excitement is real. Watching this video, our ITTN Ireland Editor suggested I look at the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny for a possible upcoming family holiday.
On investigation I found that the 4-star hotel, which sits on the outskirts of Kilkenny, offers a fabulous family experience.
This hotel has its own wildlife farm on the grounds and is a home to a host of friendly furry and feathered farm animals that are sure to delight your little ones.
There is also a Fairy Trail which takes you on a magical journey of the grounds. Visit the fairy cottages and be sure to look out for the fairies in the trees and along the path. Kids will then get to send a letter to the fairies via a letterbox, and sit on the wishing chair and make a wish, this is something that will thrill my little lady.
If energy levels are high then head down to the adventure playground. This not only includes swings, slides and a sand pit with diggers, but also a tree top adventure centre with a secure zip line.
I would personally finish the day off with a trip to the leisure centre for a swim, bookings in the leisure centre are for 45 minutes and are bookable through the hotel reception.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I discover that they have an included Kids Club that runs at weekends and during school holidays. Kids aged 4-12 can meet other kids and enjoy endless activities from 10am to 4pm and 7pm to 10.30pm daily.
Family accommodation is in family rooms that have either two or three double beds or maybe try some luxurious interconnecting rooms for that extra bit of space.
All things considered it’s the team and staff that make any hotel stay wonderful, and judging by this video put together by the team at the hotel, I’m pretty sure a fun and warm welcome awaits us here when we can travel.
