The Blackrock Leprechaun Chase and Festival 2024 is back, and it promises to be an unforgettable celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Hosted by the Blackrock Business Association, this beloved event is set to take place on Sunday, March 17th, 2024, at Blackrock Park and Blackrock Village.
The Blackrock Leprechaun Chase and Festival is a cherished St. Patrick’s Day tradition, offering families and friends a local alternative to the Dublin City Centre Parade. Starting with a lively warm-up led by the hilarious Mr. Podzo at the Blackrock Park bandstand, the event kicks off with the thrilling Leprechaun Chase, where kids can channel their inner leprechaun and enjoy a spirited race through the park.
Following the chase, the festivities continue in Blackrock Village, where attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including storytelling sessions, live music, face painting, and more. With something for everyone, the event celebrates the vibrant community spirit of Blackrock Village while supporting local businesses and charitable causes.
Entries to the races are limited to 600 participants in total, ensuring a lively yet manageable event. Tickets include a goody bag filled with delightful surprises, adding to the excitement of the day.
This year, the event is proud to support LauraLynn & Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services, with 100% of donations and raffle ticket proceeds going directly to these deserving charities.
The Leprechaun Chase Event Schedule:
- 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Check-in / Wristband Collection Arrive at Blackrock Park and get ready to join in the festivities! Collect your wristbands and prepare for a day of excitement.
- 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM: The Leprechaun Chase is in full flow! It’s time for the main event! Kids, don your most festive attire and participate in the Leprechaun Chase as you race around Blackrock Park in search of the elusive leprechaun.
- 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Goody Bag Collection in the Village After the chase, head over to Blackrock Village to collect your goody bag filled with treats and surprises.
- 1:15 PM – 3:40 PM: Stage Musical Performances in the Village Enjoy live music performances at the village stage, adding to the festive atmosphere of the day.
- 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Magic at Urban Junction Experience the wonder of magic with performances at Urban Junction.
- 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Raffle Winners Announced! Wrap up the day with the announcement of raffle winners, with exciting prizes awaiting lucky participants.
