Over the weekend there will be a whole variety of events for all the family. The Chef’s Theatre on Saturday and Sunday will have some well-known chefs talking about food. They include Darina Allen of Ballymaloe, Dr. Jp McMahon of EatGalway Restaurant Group that includes the Michelin-starred Aniar.
Other chefs appearing include television chef and food writer, Jeeny Maltese, Leonard Rasmussen of Avoca and Paul Kelly (pictured), Executive Chef of the Merrion Hotel. See the full programme here.
Entertainment at Taste of Wicklow
A whole range of entertainment is planned over the weekend for visitors to Wicklow. Events for children will include the Kablitz Circus, crazy glazing, cool food school, balloon modelling and lots more. Entertainment for the adults will include Wicklow Choral Society, DJ Simon Chapman, Rag & Blade and others. Enjoy live music from the Ukulele Players, The Palminos and more.
Eat Like a Local with Locals
Two Wicklow brands, Sorrel & Eve and Tabero are joining forces to help launch this year’s festival with a VIP pop-up dining experience to bring the community together on Friday, 24 June. Guests will dine on Wicklow’s finest food during a sensational six course tasting menu designed by Natalie and her team at Sorrel & Eve.
As for the menu itself? It’s all about the Garden County. It’s a seasonal and sustainable affair with incredible dishes that use the best that the county has to offer. This collaboration embraces the farm to fork concept and everybody is invited.
Come solo or with the crew and celebrate the return of Taste of Wicklow with a Midsummer Banquet – an experience worth sharing with new friends. Carefully curated paired wines and beers will be available on the evening to purchase.
This is a ticket-only event. Limited to 50 people. ‘Sign up to dine’ over at Tabero – an innovative Wicklow-based hospitality tech start-up bringing people together to make friends and real-life connections at unique events around the world. Any issues with booking, please contact [email protected]
