Run a Mile from the Relatives: The Annual ‘GOAL Mile’ Returns this Christmas

The annual GOAL Mile – run by Irish humanitarian aid charity GOAL and supported by AIB – is back this Christmas Day; allowing people to raise money for charity and escape the relatives for a couple of hours before squabbles over the size of the turkey later on in the day.

GOAL is active in 14 countries, helping people whose lives and livelihoods have been shattered and uprooted by conflict, disease and climate change.

The GOAL Mile – an annual Christmas tradition for thousands of Irish families – actually runs throughout December, with starting points and participation dates (including, as aforementioned, Christmas Day itself!) right across Ireland.

Entrants can run, walk, crawl, saunter, wheel a mile to raise funds for GOAL.
