Open House Festival 11– 29 August 2022, Bangor, County Down & Belfast, County Antrim 

Take some time to enjoy some of Northern Ireland’s spectacular talent and enjoy the annual summer festival for the month of August. At the heart of the festival is an eclectic programme of thoughtfully curated bespoke events, including folk on a boat, an island picnic trip, pop-up restaurants, local interest talks and tours alongside a run of shows in the beautiful Bangor Castle Walled Garden which include music, theatre, comedy, spoken word and film, reservations here.

Wake the Giant Festival in The Mournes – 20 – 21 August, County Down 

Inspired by the ancient myth of the sleeping giant in the Cooley Mountains, see if you can stir Fionn McCool, Ireland’s most famous giant, from his slumber. Giants play a role throughout mythology, and this area hosts some of the most important locations from the tale of Finn McCool, the most famous giant of them all. There will be something for all the family to enjoy in Warrenpoint with live street theatre, free children’s activities, and performances all around the town. It is a time for locals and visitors come out in force to create a truly cacophonous celebration, see here.  

Armagh Food and Cider Weekend- 8-11 September, County Armagh 

Calling all foodies, the Armagh Food and Cider Weekend, the biggest food event of the season returns to the heart of the Orchard County from 8-11 September 2022.
