Guinness Lovely Days is kicking off summer on May 18th! Are you ready for a live experience like nothing you’ve seen before? 265 years of brewing magic will culminate in one iconic moment in the heart of Dublin 8 with one of the biggest musical acts in the world, Disclosure.
Marking the start of summer, Guinness will host Lovely Day to Open the Gates, the brewery’s first ever open-air music concert!
The event will be headlined by Disclosure on Saturday the 18th of May, and this is the first and only time they will perform live to an Irish audience in 2024.
Disclosure launched their fourth studio album Alchemy last July, hitting record numbers and clocking over 11 billion streams, with over 7 million albums sold. They have played major global shows, from Madison Square Garden to Glastonbury, as well as large-scale sets at Coachella. Now, they’re coming to Dublin 8 to celebrate the start of summer with Guinness.
And they couldn’t have picked a better place! St. James’s Gate is one of the world’s most iconic locations, and is the perfect cultural backdrop for live music performances and a festival of food created by local chefs.
The event is set to be one of the highlights of summer, where guests can expect ultimate festival vibes with a custom-built music stage and delicious food offerings from Man Street Kitchen, Mani Pizza, Mamma’s Boy Food, Mushroom Butcher and Bish Bosh featuring local dishes inspired by the flavours of Guinness and our beloved Irish summer. Can you think of anything tastier?!
Jeanette Levis, Guinness Marketing Manager said: “This is a huge moment for us. For the first time ever, the brewery will be transformed for one day only for an open air music spectacular. Over the last two summers our Lovely Days campaign has really captured the public’s imagination. Lovely Day to Open the Gate sets the scale and ambition we have for this summer. What better place to kick start summer than at St. James’s Gate, the home of Guinness here in culture rich Dublin 8.”
What’s even better? This is only the beginning! The very next day Guinness will hit the road for the start of its Live & Rising summer series of events. Fresh from their performance at Lovely Day to Open the Gates, the line up of special guests will celebrate the magic of an Irish pub in summer in Cork and Belfast.
After the festival, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery will be reopening on Thursday 23rd May with a fresh line up of brews and Dublin 8’s best beer garden just in time for summer.
Tickets are available online from Tuesday, 7th May at 12pm from the following link: https://www.guinness-storehouse.com/en/visit/summer/summer-events
