Kerry has been ranked third in a new list of highest-rated Airbnb locations around the world.
Money.co.uk used a global destination bucketlist based on a survey of 1.5 million people compiled by Big 7 Travel (co-founded by Irish entrepreneur Sarah Clayton-Lea) to determine which was the most popular destination for Airbnb bookings.
Top of the list was Waikato, in New Zealand, followed by the Chinese capital, Beijing.
Kerry occupied third spot, and is described as “home to breath-taking cliffs, coastlines, and famous landmarks such as Torc Waterfall and Torc Mountain.”

A Welcome Success
Kerry’s success is welcome news for the kingdom but not altogether surprising: not only is it traditionally Ireland’s most popular holiday county, but the huge focus on staycations this summer has resulted in more people than ever opting for a holiday on the island over one abroad.
Airbnb recently reported bookings shooting up 52 per cent as Covid restrictions have begun easing in countries across the world.
