This weekend, take the family out for a day of fantastic scenery, walking trails and –if you’re feeling adventurous– even some Fatbiking. Belmont Demesne in Greystones is the perfect breakaway from city life.

Walking Trails

The grounds are located on Lower Windgates in Greystones, where a steep decline through the heavily forested driveway leads visitors to the beginning of the demesne’s walking trails. This family friendly destination has a selection of routes to explore on your day out.

The green bike and hike loops guide visitors all around the grounds, with a short, medium and long trail so you can squeeze a quick stroll into your busy schedule or take your time and see all the area has to offer. This trail leads through peaceful farmland and forest, with a small detour allowing you to stop at the Dublin Bay viewpoint.

For those looking for a bit of a challenge, the yellow ‘Belmont Way’ walking trail leads all the way up the Little Sugar Loaf. This is a hike with a breathtaking reward, with mountain’s peak offering a clear view of county Wicklow.

Fatbike Adventures

Push yourself that step further on your visit and rent a mountain bike for the day from Fatbike Adventures. The bikes are suitable for all ages and have their own exclusive mountain biking trails throughout the property. Hire your Fatbike from the on-site office for a session length of your choice.
