A total of 94 Irish beaches have been awarded Blue Flag clean, safe and environmentally-friendly status for this summer season, while 70 have received Green Coast Awards, from An Taisce.
An Taisce – which is the National Trust for Ireland – has published its list of safe and quality beaches for 2024. While the west of the country and the southern counties have fared well, Dublin is hugely under-represented on the list.
