This brace of hometown shows comes amidst a hotter than ever touring schedule for the Galway band – best known for 90s hits like I Useta Lover and N17 – that has already taken in a US jaunt and a Glastonbury Festival appearance. Still to come are dates at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre in October and an Electric Picnic show in September.

Aussie rockers – and Warnambool’s most famous export – Airbourne bring their current European jaunt to Dublin tomorrow, for a sweat filled noise riot at the Academy.

US R&B/dance artist Kelela adds Dublin to her touring schedule in support of second album Raven.
Stiff Little Fingers + Glen Matlock (Cyprus Avenue, Cork, August 17; Academy, Dublin, August 18; Custom House Square, Belfast, August 19)
Jake Burns brings the latest incarnation of legendary Belfast punk combo Stiff Little Fingers out on the road once more, with added entertainment value on the bill. The Dublin and Cork shows have former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock in support, playing an acoustic set; while Belfast sees Matlock supporting with a full band and adds former Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook to the bill.
Tiesto (Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin, August 26)
Variously described as “the Godfather of EDM” (electronic dance music, for those not in the know), and “the Greatest DJ of all time”, or the GDJOAT, if you will…Dutch DJ legend Tiesto continues a huge summer of outdoor gigs with this Kilmainham banger.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds (Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin, August 27)
Gallagher Sr returns to these shores in support of 4th album Council Skies. Support on a pretty spanking bill comes from Primal Scream and Happy Mondays.
Boygenius (Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin, August 28)
The first Irish date for female indie-rock ‘supergroup’ of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker closes out a stonking year of outdoor megashows in the capital.
