EPIC: The Irish Emigration Museum has announced that children under the age of 17 can enter for FREE – when accompanied by a paying adult – between February 12 and 18.
The offer covers a maximum of three children per paying adult.
According to the museum: “EPIC offers an engaging and fun day out for kids, adults, and grandparents alike. The experience is a feast for the senses, with spectacular visual displays, innovative audio-visual exhibitions, and interactive touch-screens that vividly bring Irish stories to life.
“From music and science to dance, sport, literature, and more, EPIC caters to all ages and interests. Bring the kids for free from 12th to 18th February and take your time exploring the immersive exhibits at your own pace, allowing for breaks to enjoy a bite to eat at the many eateries in CHQ, or to take a leisurely stroll by the Liffey – just get your ticket stamped for re-entry.
“Kids will be kept entertained as they dance along with top Irish performers, experience a unique library where books read them a story or pick their favourite villain in an interactive game. The adventure awaits at EPIC!”
Just a five-minute stroll from EPIC, The Jeanie Johnston Famine Ship tells the story of those who escaped the Famine, undertaking an arduous journey in pursuit of a brighter future in North America.
For older kids and teenagers, a journey aboard this real-life working ship provides a glimpse into the harsh conditions endured by its passengers, with captivating stories echoing through time. History aficionados will be enthralled by the ship’s rich Famine and maritime history, all expertly brought to life by the engaging guides. The Jeanie Johnston promises an immersive, educational, and entertaining outing for the entire family.
