Back by popular demand, artist Don Conroy will be hosting a masterclass and workshop at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. It was a sell-out in 2020. The workshop offers guests the opportunity to learn how to paint or improve upon existing skills.
Don, who was a regular guest on RTE’s The Den for over twenty years, delighted the nation once again during lockdown with the timely launch of his Draw with Don YouTube channel. His most popular video is of drawing a clown.
A working artist, writer, television presenter, naturalist and environmentalist, Don will bring a rich tapestry of creativity, skill and fun to guests attending this special break.
Be Inspired by Lough Corrib
Guests attending the full day workshop will be inspired by the stunning views across Lough Corrib from the hotel. And the expansive estate of woodlands and gardens and changing colours of the season. Art materials will be provided for creating masterpieces, and a lasting memory of autumn in Connemara.
Taking place from 11 – 13 October 2021, prices start from €400pn based on two people sharing. The price includes dinner on both evenings, breakfast each morning and of course, the chance to paint with the master himself.
For guests who wish to build on their getaway, there is a whole host of activities to enjoy on the estate including horse-riding, fishing, zip-lining, cycling and Ireland’s first school of falconry.
