Cromane Seafest is a free, annual festival in Kerry celebrating local seafood, watersports, and family-friendly fun. From September 13th to 15th, 2024, visitors will be treated to a weekend full of activities, entertainment and delicious seafood!
What’s On
One of the festival’s biggest draws is of course the food, where guests can indulge in Ireland’s finest seafood, including local Cromane oysters, which are famous throughout the country.
The weekend kicks off with a Surf & Turf BBQ, with a fusion of fresh and grilled seafood, followed by a variety of food trucks providing a range of tasty treats. For those who prefer something other than seafood, the festival has plenty of alternative options to enjoy.
Beyond the food, Cromane Seafest is packed with activities for the whole family. You can dive into kayaking, paddleboarding, and boat tours, or you can participate in a variety of exciting competitions. For the competitive crowd, the Cromane Oyster Shucking Championship promises to be a fantastic event!
Throughout the festival, visitors can also explore stalls and markets showcasing local produce and crafts. You’ll encounter local vendors, artisans, and performers.
For the Kids
For families with younger children, there is a wide selection of carnival rides, amusements, and entertainment to keep them busy throughout the weekend. A highlight for many families is the free access to the festival grounds!
The festival culminates with live music performances that set the tone for an unforgettable weekend. Whether it’s a family day out or a lively evening with friends, Cromane Seafest delivers something for everyone!
Additional Details
The festival is on in Cromane, Kerry, from September 13th to 15th. Entry is free, however there are paid activities available onsite. Children’s amusement rides are cash only.
Please note that there are no cash points located at Cromane Seafest. The closest point to draw cash is Hannah Mary’s XL.
If your children are participating in water sport activities please ensure they bring their own waterwear such as wetsuits, rash vests or swimsuits.
There will be no parking available on Cromane beach from Friday 13th- Sunday 15th September. However there will be paid parking in the field across from the festival. The cash fee of €5 per car is valid for a full day.
