I finally have a date for my wedding, next spring. It was put off twice in the past year. I would like to start planning my hen party in Ireland. There will be ten of us and we would like do something a bit different. HD, Meath.
Belfast seems to be a good place for hen parties. I was there recently and saw lots of ladies having great fun. The party bikes are in full swing and it is a great fun way to explore the city. You can book one on belfastpartybike.com or weetoasttours.com. Prices are from around £15 (approx. €17- £30 (approx. €35) depending on the day and if you take a private tour. You can also bring your own drinks on the tour.
In the evening why not get glammed up and go to a classy cabaret show. Feel like a 1920s Hollywood star at this Cabaret Belfast supper club. Entertainment will include live jazz, burlesque, comedians, magicians, and a band. Your ticket includes dinner served by your own Cabaret Butler. This is a whole evening out with music and dancing after the show. Prices are from £37.50 (approx. €44)which includes dinner.
On Sundays there is a drag cabaret with Miss Cherrie Ontop in the afternoon and it costs from £27.50(approx. €32) with a main course. Cabaret Belfast is on every weekend. Book as soon as you have dates, it is popular, cabaretbelfast.com.
Cocktail making
Clayton Hotel (Ormeau Ave opposite BBC) has a cocktail making class for £24 (approx. €28) per person or they can add dinner for an extra £25 (approx. €29.50). This package is proving popular for hen parties – it has all you need for a great night with later checkout, see here.
The Cathedral Quarter is where all the action is at the weekends and as you are a group, it is probably advisable to book in advance. Some favourite pubs are the Duke of York, the Spaniard, the Dirty Onion and the Woodworkers.

Shake out your spangly shorts
You could also ask the experts at The Hen, where you will find some really fun ideas. You could bring the girls to Find Ted, on the Father Ted Experience. Or how about drawing a nude! The girls could become Mrs. Doyle’s Grannies and terrorise the people of Athlone.
Shake out your spangly shorts and return to your teenage years with a roller disco in Limerick. Or the girls could try glamping in Carrick on Shannon. Carrick is well used to hen parties and the craic is great. An overnight with, breakfast, dinner and an activity will cost from €110 per person sharing, see thehen.ie for more details.
