The Aran islands ferry route from Galway City is being extended until 26 September, 2021. The route was established as a seasonal service but following its success it will continue until late September.
Tourists will be given a chance to explore the Wild Atlantic Way coastline using the ferry service. They can also visit the Aran Islands of Inis Oirr and Inis Meáin before docking in Inis Mór. The journey back to Galway city brings passengers on a cruise along the spectacular Cliffs of Moher.
Áine Mc Loughlin, Aran Islands Ferry Marketing Manager said: ”It’s the first time since 2005 there’s been sailing to the Aran Islands from Galway City.”
”The response so far has been indicative of the demand for such tourist attractions and things to do in Galway City.”
