The National Concert Hall (NCH) continues its relentless reinvention as a true ‘everyman’ venue.
While still the place to go for an old John O’Conor or Finghin Collins recital, the NCH has long-since spread its artistic wings to host artists as diverse as Jethro Tull, Spiritualized, Christy Moore, the late Sinéad O’Connor, US drone metal gods Sunn O))) and…Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli; better known as ‘The Fonz’, or ‘Fonzie’ – the greaser dude from 1970s US comedy Happy Days.
Beloved US comic actor Henry Winkler – who played the Fonz – is bringing his ‘The Fonz…and Beyond’ autobiographical one-man show (which covers his life story, career anecdotes and audience Q&A) to live audiences in June; with the UK and Ireland leg opening in Dublin on June 12.
While best known for his Happy Days role, Winkler has also starred in a slew of well-known movies – including Scream, Night Shift, Black Adam and a number of Adam Sandler vehicles like Little Nicky, Click, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, and The Waterboy.
He also found a new generation of television fans through his roles in hit sitcoms Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, and Barry.
So, book a seat and…SIT ON IT!
