The winners of the Luxury Restaurant Awards 2021 were announced, with Ireland claiming victory in two categories. Dublin’s sister restaurants FIRE Steakhouse and Bar and SOLE Seafood and Grill both took home titles from this year’s awards.

The sixth annual awards ceremony was held in Mauritius, with almost 1,000 restaurants competing. The awards are presented on a country, continent, regional and global basis, and winners are decided in an online public vote.

FIRE Steakhouse and Bar

FIRE Steakhouse and Bar on Dawson Street was awarded ‘Best Luxury Steakhouse Globally’ for the second consecutive year.

FIRE is located in the historic Mansion House, home to the Lord Mayor of Dublin for centuries. The restaurant is in the building’s ‘Supper Room’ and is reportedly frequented by the current Lord Mayor. With vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows and a terrace overlooking the Lord Mayor’s Garden, its extravagance is unmissable.

The restaurant offers a selection of menus including lunch, early bird and a la carte, all made with fresh, top quality Irish ingredients.

SOLE Seafood and Grill

South William Street’s SOLE Seafood and Grill won the ‘Best Luxury Seafood Restaurant’ award for the third year running. The restaurant won the continental title in 2019 as well as this year, and the regional title in 2020.

It’s easy to see how SOLE is a favourite among the public. The restaurant has a sophisticated and modern look to it, thanks to Belfast-based designer Graham Barrows.

The restaurant has an extensive selection of menus, created using Irish produce including fresh oysters from the Irish coast, dry-aged Irish beef, smoked Howth salmon and fresh Irish lobsters. Have a look at the lunch, early bird, and a la carte menu.
