Rebecca Kelly is our guest contributor this week and she tells travel2ireland readers about her family’s day out at Taylor’s Santa Experience in Dublin.
Santa Experience in the Dublin Mountains
Paul, the girls and I were invited to Taylor’s Three Rock Santa experience in Rathfarnham, County Dublin. It was to be a day of singing, dancing, eating and meeting a very important visitor from the North Pole.
There was plenty of parking when we arrived, and before entering we were asked to show Covid-19 certificates and ID for the adults. The venue looked amazing, it was very festive with great decorations, lights and of course, Christmas trees.
We were then greeted by the elves who showed us to our table at the top of the house where a beautiful stage was set. After a few minutes the show started. It began with the Christmas elves then Mrs Claus showed up to straighten everything out.
Santa joined in for a dance before flying by each table to say a quick hello to every child. The show was produced by Spotlight Productions and had lots of singing and dancing, which the girls loved.
After the show our elf approached us to tell us they would call us for our Santa visit. When we were called the girls had the worry of making it to the naughty or nice list. It was touch and go for a minute but both girls got a nice outcome and went to meet Santa, in person.
They had a chat with Santa and a picture taken in the photo booth with a choice of fun filled festive backgrounds. Then the elves gave the girls presents that they were really impressed with, so was I. The photos were three for €15.
We then went onto the restaurant for dinner. The staff were exceptional and food was fantastic. Great kids menu from hotdogs, chicken wings, burgers, goujons, pastas and the joint of the day.
There was also lots of activities and games for the children to enjoy as we just soaked up the atmosphere. It was one of the best Santa experiences we have had and I would highly recommend it to all. Everything including the staff, the elves, the show, and dancing Santa were brilliant. It was a great day out. Book here.
