An Elegant Chocolate Drizzled Easter Break

Treat some ‘bunny’ special this Easter to a whimsical mini break at the Imperial Hotel in Cork City. The Imperial, known as the Grand Dame of Cork, has created a tempting ‘Grace and the Chocolate Factory’ package. Taking inspiration from the Roald Dahl classic and their famous past guest, Princess Grace of Monaco.

The luxury hotel has once again, thought outside of the Easter basket, when dreaming up this fun and indulgent package. Giant colourful sweets, chocolate bon bons, and golden tickets will hang from the impressive lobby’s high vaulted ceiling. It sets the chocolate factory scene for guests as soon as they arrive.

There will be a vintage sweet cart, a whimsical photo wall, and a Grace and the Chocolate Factory Gateway. These will create perfect ‘insta’ moments for Easter fans and chocolate lovers during their stay.

A Beautiful Afternoon Tea

Following a chocolate factory overhaul, the menu in the the elegant Lafayettes is serving a mouth-watering ‘Grace and the Chocolate Factory’ Afternoon Tea. It would put Willy Wonka to shame.

Taking inspiration from the Tim Burton movie, the creative team of pastry chefs collaborated with the hotel’s artist in resident Ethan Desmond (‘From The Sketch Up’) to create a three tiered story of delicious delicacies.

The Imperial’s restaurant Thyme at Seventy-Six on the Mall, which sources ingredients from the nearby English Market, has also added an indulgent Ferrero Rocher Choux to the menu. After that, you can indulge with a chocolate inspired cocktail from Sketch, the hotel’s new sustainable cocktail bar.

The Imperial’s Escape Spa has devised the ultimate treat for chocoholics – a ‘ChocoCocoon’ treatment as chocolate is known for its anti-ageing, toning and softening qualities.
